Dear Family, All children are at various stages of language development. Some children might express themselves with only a phrase or two, while others use complete sentences. Children are also at various levels in their prayer life. Some children might not be familiar with prayer at all, while others talk freely with God. When do you pray in your home? At meal time? At bed time? In addition to these traditional times for prayer, how about saying a prayer of thanks after a close call when driving, or praying for forgiveness after losing patience during a stressful day? This week we are talking about prayer. Jesus Himself spent many hours in prayer with His heavenly Father. And Jesus Himself is the answer to our most urgent prayer—for the forgiveness and eternal life He has obtained for us. Though we might not completely understand prayer, we can trust, by the power of the Holy Spirit through faith that God will hear and answer in the way that is best. May you know the blessings of prayer as you share God’s love with your family! - Donna Lutz

A Mother’s Day Tea Party Scheduled for May 5th . I hope you will be able to attend. We will have the students and Mother’s make a craft. Refreshments will be served. We hope to see you there.
Visiting Kindergarten Thursday, May 6 the three Pre-kindergarten students will attending class in the Kindergarten room. The students will have a chance to see what Kindergarten is all about. We are excited for them and hope that you will encourage them, so that it is not a scary morning for them.
Shoe Box Derby Information for a shoe box Derby will be coming home with your student. Please help them with this project. We will have the Derby on May 25. Details on time and place of event will follow at a later date.
