How do I become a member?
There are
several ways in which a person becomes a member of Clover Trinity Lutheran
Church:
1.
Baptism/Adult Information Class
2.
Transfer
3.
Profession of Faith
These
three ways are designed to help different people from a variety of starting
points to reach the same goal—an active faith in Jesus Christ and an active
expression of that faith through this fellowship of other believers.
Baptism/Adult
Information Class
If you are
not yet baptized and desire to be, please contact our pastor.
If you are exploring the
Christian faith for the first time or are a new believer we offer you an Adult
Information Class. The class is one that explores the teachings of our
congregation and Lutheran Church body, the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.
Contact our office for the next information class.
Once you
complete an adult information class, it is your option to decide whether or not
you agree with our teachings and want to become an active member of the
congregation.
Transfer
If you are
already a member of another Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod congregation, we
invite you to transfer your membership here to Clover Trinity Lutheran.
Simply
contact the Church office and all the necessary forms will be sent to you.
Profession of Faith
If you are
a member of a congregation from another Lutheran Synod, or were baptized and
confirmed in the Lutheran Church, but have since lost track of, or are not sure
of your membership, we invite you to join by profession of faith. The procedure
for this is the same as that for transferring membership except, of course, no
membership records are exchanged. If this is your case, we would normally
encourage you to consider taking our adult information class as a refresher
course on Lutheranism.
